The Swift code is a standard bank identification code (BIC) format and is a unique identity code for a particular bank. These codes are used when transferring money to a bank, especially international bank transfers. Banks also use codes to exchange other messages with each other.
The Swift code contains 8 or 11 characters. 8-digit codes refers to the main office. The code has the following format;

AAAA BB CC DDD
